Certcost publishes first newsletter
by Redaktion (comments: 0)
The European research project supported by the European Commission, Certcost, runs for three years, from September 2008 to August 2011. The main project objective is to generate research based knowledge on how to improve the organic food certification system in terms of efficiency, transparency and cost effectiveness.
Certcost has now released its first newsletter. Selected contents in the newsletter are: New database on European actors in organic standards setting and certification; three public Certcost reports: The opening stakeholder workshop in Izmir, economic theory applied on organic food products, European legislation – the background of organic certifiation; as well as a short introduction to European Food Law and upcoming events. The EU Organic Campaign and the (new) organic EU logo are also featured. The newsletter is available for download here
