BioFach America Latina – Bio Brazil Fair 2017

BioFach America Latina – Bio Brazil Fair is Brazil’s most important meeting point for the organic sector and a focal point for visitors and exhibitors from around the world. After its outstanding success in 2016, this year's fair will open its doors from 7 to 10 June 2017. The 13th edition will take place in the Biennial Pavilion, Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo, Brazil.

The interest of the Brazilians in a healthy, sustainable lifestyle continues to grow and the organic sector is developing apace. In 2016, sales of organic produce increased by 20% compared with 2015. They consist mainly of unprocessed food such as fruit and vegetables, and in particular pulses. But the high demand  for processed organic food produce, clothing and natural cosmetics also made a significant contribution to the positive market development. All  these product segments will be represented at BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA – BIO BRAZIL FAIR.

Exhibitors

Brazilian organic market leaders, small producers and cooperatives will be represented. Companies from a wide range of countries will also attend and organic exhibitors from, for example, Germany, Italy, Chile, Canada, Mexico, Bolivia and Peru will present their products and services at the trade fair. This major event will thus provide the perfect platform for building and strengthening relationships with the most important organic decision-makers and associations in Brazil as well as major organic companies worldwide. In order to promote these business opportunities, there will once again be face-to-face meetings and organised discussions between organic companies, company buyers and retailers from the various states in Brazil.

International Forum for Organic Agriculture

Along with the product show, the organic sector has the opportunity to come together at the international Forum for Organic Agriculture. With presentations and panel discussions, participants can exchange ideas and their experience of the challenges created by a continually growing organic market. Discussions will address issues like current market developments, political framework conditions and sales and distribution strategies for organic products.

Convincing consumers

BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA – BIO BRAZIL FAIR has two target groups – trade visitors and organic consumers. This is why the exhibition will open its doors to the public on the last two days. Thus both groups will be able to marvel at the latest market trends and buy their favourite products. All visitors can look forward to several hundred innovations in the organic food, natural cosmetics and organic textiles segments.

Success on all fronts in 2016: visitor numbers, professional buyers and floor space all increased at last year's BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA – BIO BRAZIL FAIR. It was a must for anyone wanting to find out more about the latest products and services offered by the organic sector. The aim was to promote new business opportunities and representatives of organic companies, purchasers and retailers came together for discussions. Over two days 3,420 contacts were established. With buyers for major international chains taking part, the result was 40 percent more business deals than in 2015.
