The international seminar on organic farming - Organic Agriculture in Europe and Worldwide - will take place at the fair Salon international de l’agriculture in Paris on 28 February 2013.
Agence Bio's eighth international seminar comes in the context of the launch of an evaluation of the relevance and effectiveness of the first 20 years of the EU regulatory framework for organic farming, Common Agricultural Policy reform negotiations, and initiatives and guidelines that vary from one European country to another. Also in France, national and regional consultations to work out a new action plan to develop organic agriculture by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry - Ambition 2017 - were launched.

The seminar aims to provide an update on the key developments in the European Union and worldwide, in terms of public policies, consumption and production of organic farming, an identification of future trends of organic networks, and information on factors that are facilitating a hindering development of organic agriculture. It is intended for all people who work for the development of organic farming, especially local authorities, professional bodies, processing and distribution companies, research institutes, consumers' associations and journalists and will be translated into German and English.
