The cooperation offers new chances particularly for the international business: "Certification bodies focusing on consumers of organic products need strong connections in producer regions too. This cooperation is one further step to complement and intensify our already existing partnerships", Ueli Steiner, managing director of bio.inspecta AG, remarked.
The number of private and governmental standards is constantly increasing, requirements are getting more complex. "A high degree of specialization is necessary to be capable of excellent work", noted Frank Rumpe, CEO of IMOswiss AG. "To enable this specialisation we decided to consolidate our forces particularly with regard to our international work".
All the partners believe that the joint cooperation will strengthen the organic sector. Friedrich Lettenmeier, CEO of ABCERT AG, mentioned: "Consumers have great confidence in organic products. As certification and quality control bodies, we have to ensure that this confidence remains the same. With this cooperation, we combine our experience, knowledge and efforts for the quality and safety of organic products."
